Yes, as Specialist Dermatologists we look after all conditions that affect the skin, hair, and nails. Acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, ageing, etc., we manage all of them, and can treat you with modern Dermatologist-Only prescription therapies.
We have undergone a rigorous and lengthy specialist training and examination program to be awarded Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, and each of us have conducted over 10,000 Dermatology Consultations.
Please note, if you are querying if a lesion is a potential skin cancer, we recommend you be seen in-person by a Specialist Dermatologist. If you are unsure, please send us an email, reception@mydermatology.com.au, preferably with some photos, and our triage team will see if we can help, or if another provider may be more appropriate.
Typically patients can be seen within 1 week.

A specialist referral letter from your regular GP is most welcome, as they would know your overall health best. The referral would also make you eligible to receive the Medicare rebates from your specialist consultations, which are usually $40-80 per consultation.
If it is difficult to access your regular in-person GP, then there are GP telehealth providers that can review your issue, and provide a medical specialist referral letter if deemed appropriate. Some examples of these providers include:
13SICK - Weekdays 6pm-8am, Weekends, Public Holidays, bulk billed review.
AussieScripts - $30 for a review.
DoctorsOnDemand - $60 for a review
Hola - $39 for a review.
InstantConsult - $45 for a review
InstantScripts - $24 for a review.
OurSage - $49 for a review.
PrimeMedic - $21.99 for a review.
Qoctor - $29.99-$49.99 for a review.
Updoc - $39.95 for a review.
MyDermatology is not affiliated with any GP telehealth provider, we are an independent Specialist Dermatologist service.
GP referrals to specialists typically last 1 year.
We bill a low flat consultation gap fee of $149 for all patients who have a Medicare card and valid referral letter.
In more detail, for 2025-26, the total initial video telehealth consultation fee will be $235.15, then with a valid referral letter Medicare will rebate you $86.15, thus resulting in a low flat gap ("out of pocket") fee of $149. Likewise, the total subsequent video telehealth consultation fee will be $192.35, and with a valid referral letter Medicare will rebate you $43.35, again resulting in a low flat gap ("out of pocket") fee of $149.
If you do not have a Medicare card or referral, then for 2025-26, the initial video telehealth consultation fee will be $235.15, and the total subsequent video telehealth consultation fee will be $192.35.
There is a perception that Specialist Dermatologist care can be difficult to access due to long wait times and high fees. Throughout our training and careers as Specialist Dermatologists, we have seen the benefits to patients when they can access expert and timely care, and the repercussions of delayed management. So our mission at MyDermatology is for everyone to be able to access expert, timely, and affordable, Specialist Dermatologist care. Our team has worked very hard to make our services as accessible as possible.
We receive this question a lot! Most people are surprised to find out our fees are less than their last visit to the hair salon!
They are even more surprised to learn that often about 50% of a "doctor's fees" are paid to the host clinic to cover their running costs, particularly the ever increasing rent and insurance fees.
MyDermatology is a collective of Specialist Dermatologists who have a co-operative mindset. We share running costs, provide an online service that saves on rental costs, and have no marketing costs as we are happy for our service to spread solely by word of mouth recommendations. We pass on all those savings to you, our patients.

Education & Research
Dr Lee completed his six-year medical and surgical degree at the University of New South Wales, and was awarded the Tom Gibian Prize and Foundation Year Graduates Medal. Subsequently he was granted a full Kennedy Scholarship to attend the University of Oxford to learn how new therapies are discovered, and translated into the clinic for patients.
During his four-year Doctorate in Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Oxford, Dr Lee's research identified novel alarmin pathways. His discoveries offered new insights into suppressing aberrant inflammation, inducing cancer remission, and reactivating youthful physiological processes. In addition, his time and learnings there imbued him with a deep understanding of the cellular and molecular processes that govern skin health, and the new therapies are a being discovered and developed to treat dermatological disorders.
Upon returning to Australia, he completed two years of Medical Officer residency at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and then undertook six years of rigorous Specialist Dermatology training, where he focused on advanced skin cancer management and treating inflammatory dermatoses with precision medicines. He trained under the tutelage of Emeritus Dermatologists in the city: Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, St Vincent's Hospital, The Skin Hospital Darlinghurst and Westmead, Westmead Hospital, Liverpool Hospital, Sydney Children's Hospital Westmead; and in the country: Dubbo, Taree, Bourke, Brewarrina, Lismore, Griffith, Coffs Harbour, and Grafton. He then completed a further 2 years of subspecialised instruction in Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology for modern therapies of acne, rosacea, skin ageing, and skin cancer.
In tandem with his clinical work, he helped build the Clinical and Translational Dermatology Laboratory at Royal North Shore Hospital, and serves there as the Head of Dermatology Research. He applies insights gained from his research activities in his care for patients in the Advanced Dermatology Therapeutics Clinic at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. And through his role as a Principal Investigator on cutting edge clinical trials, he discovers and develops next generation medicines and interventional technologies for his patients.
