Yes, as Specialist Dermatologists we look after all conditions that affect the skin, hair, and nails. Acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, ageing, etc., we manage all of them, and can treat you with modern Dermatologist-Only prescription therapies.
We have undergone a rigorous and lengthy specialist training and examination program to be awarded Fellowship of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, and each of us have conducted over 20,000 Dermatology Consultations.
Please note, if you are querying if a lesion is a potential skin cancer, we recommend you be seen in-person by a Specialist Dermatologist. If you are unsure, please send us an email, reception@mydermatology.com.au, preferably with some photos, and our triage team will see if we can help, or if another provider may be more appropriate.
Typically patients can be seen within 1 week.

A specialist referral letter from your regular GP is most welcome, as they would know your overall health best. The referral would also make you eligible to receive the Medicare rebates from your specialist consultations, which are usually $40-80 per consultation.
If it is difficult to access your regular in-person GP at short notice, then there are telehealth providers that can prepare you a medical specialist referral letter.
Some examples include:
PrimeMedic - $21.99 for a specialist referral letter
InstantScripts - $24 for a specialist referral letter
Qoctor - $25.99 for a specialist referral letter
AussieScripts - $30 for a specialist referral letter
Hola - $39 for a specialist referral letter
Updoc - $39.95 for a specialist referral letter
InstantConsult - $45 for a specialist referral letter
OurSage - $49 for a specialist referral letter
These telehealth specialist referral letter providers are often worthwhile for you because you will then be eligible to receive the Medicare rebates on every consultation, which are usually $40-80 per consultation.
GP referrals to specialists typically last 1 year.
We bill a low flat consultation gap fee of $149 for all patients who have a Medicare card and valid referral.
This is 50-70% less than comparable in-person and online Specialist Dermatology services.
In more detail, for 2025-26, the total initial video telehealth consultation fee will be $235.15, then Medicare will rebate you $86.15, thus resulting in a low flat gap fee of $149. Likewise, the total subsequent video telehealth consultation fee will be $192.35, and Medicare will rebate you $43.35, again resulting in a low flat gap fee of $149.
If you do not have a Medicare card or referral, then we bill a low flat consultation gap fee of $199.
This is 40-60% less than the cost of comparable in-person and online Specialist Dermatology services.
Throughout our training and careers as Specialist Dermatologists, we have seen the benefits to patients when they can access expert and timely care and the repercussions of delayed management. So our mission at MyDermatology is for everyone to be able to access expert, timely, and affordable, Specialist Dermatologist care. Our team has worked very hard to make our services as accessible as possible.
We receive this question a lot! Most people are surprised to find out our fees are less than their last plumber's bill!
They are even more surprised to learn that often about 50% of a "doctor's fees" are paid to the host clinic to cover their running costs, particularly the ever increasing rent and insurance fees.
MyDermatology is a collective of Specialist Dermatologists who have a co-operative mindset. We share running costs, provide an online service that saves on rental costs, and have no marketing costs as we are happy for our service to spread solely by word of mouth recommendations. We pass on all those savings to you, our patients.
